Dexter Foundry, Inc. is currently seeking and Industrial Engineer in Fairfield, Iowa. A B.S. in Industrial Engineering and a minimum of 3 years of experience is preferred.
The Industrial Engineer position will be directly responsible for analyzing and recommending changes for improvement to functions as they relate to product costing, product quoting, and the safety and wage incentive system. This position will help facilitate continuous improvement changes to help the efficiency/cost control of the manufacturing operations.
The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: (1) perform time and motion studies (2) develop product costs (3) conduct manufacturing process audits to assist in cost reductions (4) analyze labor and material cost variances and recommend changes (5) continuous improvement efforts and (6) analyze product/material handling issues to resolve safety issues.
