We have had great success with our Dexter double & triple loaders. We are very pleased to have just ordered 10 new Dexter Express 25lbs and 3 Dexter Express 45lbs. A year ago we purchased four T400s; since then we have noticed a substantial increase in our business. The Iroquois Manor Coin Laundromat has become both more profitable and a more hospitable environment for our customers. Most customers now prefer the “big machines”. Due to their large capacity and fast spin cycle, the time spent doing laundry has decreased. The laundromat has became a place the community meets while getting a “job” done faster and more efficiently, rather than a place they go just to do a chore. We are now getting new and repeat clients who specifically want to use the T-400s. They have become the washer of choice week after week. It has saved me at least a $100 each time as opposed to sending it to the cleaners (and to be quite honest...your washer does a better job then the cleaners and their are no harsh chemicals to worry about). When a heavy thunderstorm hit my town, a lightening strike caused one of my Dexter washers to blow a fuse. When I purchased an existing laundry 4 years ago, the store had 4 Dexter T-400 Washes and 14 30 pound single pocket dryers that were 20 years old. While we had to replace the existing competitor machines, we kept the Dexter’s and they are still running strong. Replacement parts are always available and the costs are very reasonable. My dream is to own an all Dexter laundromat updated with the latest in energy efficient equipment. I have been using T-400 machines since they first came out in 1987, and 5 of the original 7 are still in operation. They have been some of the most used machines in my store. Customers use them 75% more then the other units. The minimal maintenance has been great. I have had to replace only one bearing kit in one machine in fifteen years.
