When researching and developing my laundromat, I was originally leaning towards a different equipment manufacturer until I met a Dexter sales representative at a Coin Laundry Association meeting. This rep took my team on a tour of a local Dexter-equipped laundry and almost immediately convinced me to leave the distributor that I was working with. Over the next six months this rep kept in close touch, coming out to visit, touring the site, and plugging our preliminary plan into design software for a store layout. I am quite particular about how things come together and marked up the plan for changes. We went through this back and forth process fifteen times before I was satisfied with the layout, but it made a huge difference in the final result.

While my Dexter Authorized Distributor, Ace Machinery, was new to building Laundromats, he was experienced in the commercial laundry industry and was sincere about doing a good job for me. As we went through the engineering process they reviewed my plans and offered suggestions for improving them. They called me every week for at least six months, and worked very, very hard to see that things were done right and on time.

One other important factor in this process was the financial one. I intended from the beginning to use a lease process to finance the purchase of my equipment. My local bank assured me that they could handle the lease with a favorable rate and I was moving in that direction. When I got closer to finalizing the lease the bank explained that they would have to have collateral for the machines. They wanted the lease one hundred percent collateralized. At that point I contacted Dexter Financial Services. Their service was great and in no time had me set up with an attractive financing package.

I am very happy with my equipment, but the equipment would not be here without the professionalism of the people who made the whole process come together. For me, the professionalism made the difference.
